Our exciting and innovative PE curriculum is designed to offer a wide variety of sports and activities to ensure everyone is included and can take part in sports they will enjoy.

Students are encouraged to improve their skills, techniques and tactics in different situations. This will enhance social skills, through team work and analysis of other pupils. Independent learning is also promoted through self-analysis of student participation in activities such as footballing and athletics.

Pupils are also encouraged to adopt a healthy life style that will continue through to adulthood.

It is important that students wear full and correct PE kit to all lessons to ensure that they can fully and safely benefit from each and every lesson. The PE department also puts on a range of activities after school. Some of these are for enjoyment and general fitness and others to train for competitions. Pupils, depending upon age range can join a variety of ECAs– these include netball, football, fitness, rounders, dodgeball, table tennis and athletic.

GES also runs a football and Swimming Academy on Saturday mornings.

Please see the notice boards and the PE department staff for more details and up-coming fixtures.
