Extra Curricular Activities
The secondary extra-curricular programme at Gulf English School plays a vital role in developing confident, articulate and socially responsible young people. Through opportunities such as the Model United Nations club, students build leadership, diplomacy and public speaking skills, with participation extending to prestigious international events including Italy Model United Nations 2025. Our Robotics Club nurtures innovation and problem-solving, with students competing at both national and international level, while a wide programme of sporting fixtures locally and nationally promotes teamwork, resilience and collaboration.
Cultural and literary enrichment beyond the classroom includes performances by the The Young Shakespeare Company, bringing texts such as Macbeth to life, alongside student participation in British Schools in the Middle East poetry recitals and writing competitions. Looking ahead, we are excited to be expanding our provision through the introduction of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, further strengthening opportunities for leadership, challenge and personal growth beyond the classroom.
School Trips
Our school trips program offers exciting opportunities for students to engage in immersive, experiential learning experiences that complement their academic studies. From educational field trips to cultural excursions and adventure outings, we curate a diverse range of trips that broaden students' horizons, foster personal growth, and create lasting memories. Our carefully planned itineraries combine educational objectives with recreational activities, allowing students to explore new environments, discover different cultures, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
With safety as our top priority, we ensure that all school trips adhere to stringent safety measures and are accompanied by experienced staff and guides.
Active Citizenship
To cultivate a sense of active citizenship among our students, empowering them to become responsible and engaged members of their communities. Through our active citizenship program, we inspire students to recognize their ability to effect positive change and make a meaningful impact in society. We provide opportunities for students to participate in community service projects, volunteer initiatives, and advocacy campaigns that address local and global issues. By encouraging empathy, critical thinking, and social responsibility, we equip our students with the skills and values necessary to actively contribute to creating a more inclusive and just world. Active citizenship goes beyond academic achievement and encompasses the development of compassionate leaders who are committed to making a difference.
